The law office of Janice M. Greening, LLC, located in Englewood, Colorado, practices law in the areas of Workers' Compensation, Personal Injury, Employment Law, Social Security, and Nursing Defense in Denver, Englewood, Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Castle Rock, Parker, Aurora, as well as the counties of Douglas, Arapahoe, and Jefferson.

Workers’ Compensation
Workers' Compensation laws are designed to ensure that employees who are injured or disabled on the job are provided with fixed monetary awards, thereby eliminating the need for traditional methods of litigation. If your claim is denied, however, you need an experienced and skilled workers’ compensation attorney to try your case and get you the benefits that you deserve.  If you have been wrongfully discharged from your employer for filing a workers’ compensation claim or been denied workers’ compensation benefits by your employer, I can help you.

Personal Injury
Every 10 seconds someone in the United States is involved in an auto accident, truck wreck, or a motorcycle collision.   In these cases, it is essential that measures be taken promptly to preserve evidence, investigate the accident in question, and have physicians or other expert witnesses thoroughly evaluate any injuries. If you have been involved in a car accident, it is strongly recommended that you contact a skilled personal injury lawyer to evaluate your case as soon as possible. I have experience representing injured parties, (or Plaintiffs), in car accident cases to recover payment for their injuries, including pain and suffering, medical expenses, loss of wages, and future earning capacity. I also handle cases involving premises liability, including slip and fall accidents, which occur on someone else’s property or in the workplace.

Employment Law
Employment law involves the various legal rights and obligations that govern all aspects of the workplace relationship between employers and employees.  I primarily handle wrongful discharge cases, where an employee has been wrongfully terminated for filing a workers’ compensation claim, or has experienced discrimination under Title VII.  Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex or national origin and makes it illegal for employers to discriminate in hiring, discharging, compensation, or terms, conditions, and privileges of employment. I also handle cases involving sexual harassment, the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), and The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA).  I will help you pursue your claim and receive compensation for having been a victim of wrongful termination or discrimination.

Social Security Disability
Almost everyone who receives a paycheck and has had taxes withheld knows that a portion of those taxes represent payment toward Social Security. If something happens to you where you become disabled or unable to work, you, and in some cases your dependents, are entitled to receive cash benefits in an amount based upon how much you or they have worked and earned in the past. If your Social Security claim has been denied, you need the law firm of Janice M. Greening. I understand fully the impact on you and your family that arises from a disability or the inability to work.  My goal is to reduce the financial and emotional stress that is caused by your inability to work by helping you obtain the benefits that you rightfully deserve.

Nursing Defense
The Colorado State Board of Nursing is charged with the responsibility of maintaining high health care standards and protecting the public from unqualified, unethical, and incompetent practitioners.   As an attorney and as a former Registered Nurse, I know the statutes and rules governing nursing professionals as well as the investigatory procedure and hearing process the Board employs in handling complaints against nurses.  I represent nurses involved in disciplinary proceedings before the Board, including alleged violations of the Nurse Practice Act.  Whether it is a letter of admonishment or a revocation of a license that the Board is seeking against you, I am qualified and competent to represent your interests and resolve your situation in a manner that results in the least impact upon your nursing license.
